SamTrans to Take Part in 101st Airborne Parade

SamTrans is proud to participate in the 101st Airborne Homecoming Parade on Saturday, March 24, in downtown San Mateo.

From SamTrans: SamTrans is proud to participate in the 101st Airborne Homecoming Parade this Saturday, March 24, in downtown San Mateo.

SamTrans will have a bus in the parade that begins at 11 a.m., and will be carrying family and friends of veterans of the 101stAirborne. In addition, SamTrans’ Veterans Mobility Corps will have a booth at the festival in Central Park, and volunteer veterans will be providing information on the benefits SamTrans has available for veterans of all ages.

Street closures along the parade route will result in the rerouting of the 250 bus, which will prevent the use of the stops at 1stAvenue and B Street. The Caltrain parking lot will also be closed from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. due to its proximity to the parade.

Due to an expected lack of available parking, parade-goers are encouraged to take the SamTrans Routes 250 or the ECR, or Caltrainto the festivities.
