San Mateo Assault Suspect Charged: Report

Jebrayl Safi, 32, is facing charges in connection with multiple incidents in last week in San Mateo according to the report.

SAN MATEO, CA — A man is facing multiple felony charges in connection with three separate attacks over a two-day period last week in San Mateo, The San Mateo Daily Journal reports.

Jebrayl Safi, 32, is accused of punching out a teenage skateboarder at El Camino Real and Third Ave. at around 2:15 p.m. Monday in an incident that left the boy unconscious according to the report, which cites the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office.

Safi is also accused of pushing a 63-year-old woman to the ground after vandalizing her car Tuesday at around 7:45 a.m. and punching a 59-year-old man who came to assist the woman according to the report.

He is also accused of punching a man in a holding cell after he was taken to jail, the report said.

Safi faces multiple felony charges including assault with a deadly weapon and child endangerment with great bodily harm, the report said.

Safi is being held on $100,000 bail according to the report.
