San Mateo County Event Center To Be Used As Mass Vaccination Site

Moves marks a shift in use for the site which had been used for testing. A new dedicated testing site has opened at College of San Mateo.

SAN MATEO, CA — The San Mateo County Event Center will be used as a mass vaccination site, county officials said Wednesday.

The move marks a shift in use of the Event Center, which has been used as a coronavirus testing site. A new dedicated testing site has opened at College of San Mateo.

A drive-through testing site for adults and children now operates Sundays through Thursdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the CSM parking lot (across from 3401 CSM Drive).

“The College of San Mateo is centrally located for the entire county and provides us with the space we need to provide much-needed COVID testing,” County Manager Mike Callagy said in a statement.

“Testing continues to play a vital role in detecting infections early and controlling the spread of this virus.”
