Police said in a statement they are partnering with local, state and federal authorities to monitor any threats to the Peninsula city.
SAN MATEO, CA — San Mateo police issued an advisory ahead of the Jan. 20 inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden amid nationwide concerns about political violence in the aftermath of last week’s insurrection on the Capitol.
Law enforcement officials have expressed concerns that armed far-right extremists are planning to march on state capitals this weekend, The Washington Post reports.
The San Mateo Police Department said in a statement it is partnering with local, state and federal authorities to monitor any threats to the Peninsula city.
