San Mateo Sexual Assault Of Woman In Her 60s Probed

Police said the assault occurred Wednesday at around 10:40 p.m. at 9th Avenue and S El Camino Real.

SAN MATEO, CA — The San Mateo Police Department is seeking the public’s help in its investigation of the sexual assault of a woman in her 60s, the agency announced in a news release Thursday.

Police said the assault occurred Wednesday at around 10:40 p.m. at 9th Avenue and S El Camino Real.

The suspect was described as a light-skinned male in his late teens to early 20s, with brown bushy hair who was wearing dark-colored clothing.

He was last seen walking southwest from 9th Avenue and S El Camino Real.

Police are asking anyone with security cameras in the broader area of where the suspect was last seen to review their camera footage for any person on foot or riding a bicycle on Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:30 p.m.
