Police say a young San Mateo resident was attacked and had items stolen.
SAN MATEO — The San Mateo Police department arrested four people after a teen boy reported he was punched and robbed of his phone and other items Tuesday evening while walking down S Humboldt Street in San Mateo, authorities said.
Officers said they arrested Foster City resident Ever Jacobo-Castro, 21, and three minors, including two 17-year-old San Mateo residents and a 14-year-old San Mateo resident.
Police said they received a report that the teen was walking down the street when three suspects got out of a black Honda, punched him in the face multiple times, and stole his cell phone, boxing gloves, and AirPods. Officers said the suspects then fled the scene in the Honda with a fourth suspect driving, who was later identified as Jacobo-Castro.
