Shedding Eucalyptus Tree: Photo Of The Day
This decades-old tree is shedding both its bark and some smaller branches.
SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — A eucalyptus tree shedding its bark caught the eye of Claus Weisemann, who took this photo while taking a walk at Oyster Point in South San Francisco. He told Patch in an email, "I saw this tree which looked a little more ragged than the others and I tried to picture it from a somewhat unusual perspective, looking directly up into the pattern of branches and leaves against the blue sky."
