Suspect Sought In San Mateo Shooting Near Highway 101
Police are seeking a suspect in a San Mateo shooting that left one person injured Monday.
SAN MATEO, CA — Police are seeking a suspect after a shooting Monday left one person injured near Highway 101 in San Mateo, police said. The victim was being treated for a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the leg and was in stable condition, authorities said.
Officers responded at 2:31 p.m. to the shooting, which happened in the parking lot of La Hacienda Market, on the 200 block of North Amphlett Boulevard. The suspect was described as a Hispanic man in his twenties wearing a black hoodie and black pants. Police are unsure about any relationship between the shooter and the victim.

UPDATE (3:12p) Suspect described as a Hispanic male, 20s, wearing a black hoodie & black pants. The relationship between the shooter and suspect is unknown @ this time. The victim has been transported to a local trauma center for a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his leg.
