HALF MOON BAY, CA — Nearly nine months after a woman reported that she had been raped at a Half Moon Bay home, sheriff's officials say they've arrested a suspect in the case. Andres Campos, 43, was arrested on Feb. 21 on suspicion of two counts of rape by force, two counts of assault with the intent to commit sodomy, residential burglary and rape of a drugged victim, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office.

According to sheriff's Det. Rosemerry Blankswade, on May 31, 2018, a woman reported a rape to sheriff's officials at the Half Moon Bay substation.

"The victim reported she was raped on May 30, 2018 at approximately 11 p.m. by Andres Campos," Blankswade said in a news release. "Campos had purposefully gotten the victim drunk and when she was too intoxicated to care for herself, he raped and sexually assaulted her."
