SMC Supes Adopt Commercial Eviction Moratorium: Report
The measure covers tenants with less than $2.5 million in annual gross receipts.
SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — The San Mateo County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously Tuesday in support of a moratorium on commercial tenants directly impacted by the new coronavirus outbreak, The Palo Alto Daily Post reports.
The moratorium protects small businesses with less than $2.5 million in annual gross receipts in unincorporated areas, the report said.
The measure will be in effect until May 31 but could be extended.

Business owners will be required to pay back rent for 180 days.
