Suspected Methamphetamine, Scale Seized In Peninsula Traffic Stop

A 34-year-old Redwood City man with a prior felony conviction was arrested on unspecified charges, police said.

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA — A Peninsula traffic stop led to the arrest of a 34-year-old Redwood City felon on unspecified charges Tuesday night after suspected drugs and a replica firearm, among other contraband, were found in his vehicle, the South San Francisco Police Department said on the agency's Facebook page.

The suspect was booked into jail, according to police.

An officer conducting a traffic stop near South Airport Boulevard at North Access Road observed a stun gun in the vehicle that the suspect is prohibited from possessing because of his felon status, police said.

During a search of the vehicle officers found drug paraphernalia, a replica .357 snub nose revolver pellet gun, a significant amount suspected methamphetamine, and two digital scales, police said.
