'Suspicious Package' At SFO Prompts Terminal Evacuation: Police
The Wednesday evacuation lasted about an hour, police say. [BREAKING]

SAN FRANCISCO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, CA – An airport terminal at San Francisco International was evacuated Wednesday following a "suspicious package" report around 11:45 a.m., authorities report. However, it reopened around 1 p.m. after a bomb squad cleared the item.
Airport officials evacuated part of Terminal 1 shortly after the report came in and the San Francisco Police Department's bomb squad was sent in to investigate, according to Officer Giselle Talkoff. They learned within about an hour that the "package" was not a threat.

The suspicious package may have been a forgotten carry-on bag, Talkoff said.
