For the third year in a row, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul of San Mateo County (SVdP) is holding “Walk a Mile in My Shoes” on Saturday, October 24th, beginning at 11:30 a.m. to raise awareness and funds for the underserved and forgotten in our community.
SVdP’s mission: In the spirit of love and justice, SVdP provides person to person services of time, talent and resources to help our neighbors in need. Last year, SVdP served 28,000 residents (unduplicated), nearly half of whom were children, in the county, providing food, rental assistance, utility assistance, clothing, grocery vouchers, shelter vouchers, along with care and compassion.
The walk will be along the Bay Trail (approximately 2.3 miles) with a starting and finishing point near the Hilton San Francisco Airport Bayfront, Burlingame. Please join us & bring friends and family! $10 per person. Register at www.svdpsm.org
