SAN MATEO, CA — A 15-year-old boy was injured after being struck by a driver suspected of driving under the influence in a San Mateo crosswalk Tuesday evening, police said. The collision happened around 7:20 p.m. near Alameda de las Pulgas and Hobart Avenue, according to the San Mateo Police Department. The teen suffered an arm injury and multiple abrasions and was transported to a nearby hospital, police said. The driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, and the car was towed from the scene. Police said a potential additional charge of DUI causing injury will be reviewed by the San Mateo County District Attorney's Office.
