Thousands Lose Power on the Peninsula

BREAKING: About 10,000 electric customers were without power across the Bay Area.

BAY AREA, CA – About 10,000 electric customers were without power late Sunday night across the San Francisco Bay Area because of the winter storm that made its way through the area during the weekend, a PG&E spokesman said.

As of 11:20 p.m., 9,563 customers were without power, spokesman J.D. Guidi said.

The number of customers without power totaled 3,976 in the North Bay, 2,112 in the South Bay, 315 in San Francisco, 2,022 on the Peninsula and 1,138 in the East Bay.

Guidi said crews will be working through the morning to restore power and crews should make significant progress toward restoring power to everyone Monday.
