San Mateo police urged residents in the area of Laurelwood Park to stay indoors, after two mountain lions were reportedly seen nearby.

SAN MATEO, CA — San Mateo police urged residents in the area of Laurelwood Park to stay indoors, after two mountain lions were reportedly seen in the 3700 block of East Laurel Creek Drive, which borders the south end of the park.

The news release from police, issued at 1:29 a.m., said officers are on the scene and additional resources are en route.
