Van Lands On San Mateo Yard In Crash

SAN MATEO, CA — San Mateo firefighters responded Wednesday morning to a crash in town that ended with a vehicle on top of a resident's yard. The San Mateo Consolidated Fire Department‏ reported the wreck just before 11 a.m.

Multiple engines responded to the two-vehicle crash, which happened in the area of 14th and Palm avenues. An image from the scene shows a large, white van atop some green grass and some bushes.

"One vehicle ended up in the front yard, luckily no injuries," the fire department said on Twitter.

Despite the collision, Palm Avenue remained open to traffic. No injuries were reported.
