1,200 Lightning Strikes Recorded Monday In Bay Area
The threat of lightning continues Tuesday for much of the Bay Area, including Marin County, according to the National Weather Service.

Hundreds of lightning strikes occurred Monday in the San Francisco Bay Area, according to the National Weather Service.
About 1,200 cloud-to-ground lightning strikes occurred and nearly 7,000 total flashes were recorded throughout the Bay Area, according to the National Weather Service. Weather officials said they have not received any reports of damage as a result of the lightning.
