Missing San Rafael Man Found Dead Near Treasure Island
A man found dead near Treasure Island has been identified as Martin Kaplan of San Rafael, according to the SF Medical Examiner's Office.
SAN RAFAEL, CA – A man found dead near Treasure Island Saturday has been identified as Martin Kaplan, 81, of San Rafael, according to the San Francisco Medical Examiner's Office.
Kaplan was last seen Thursday afternoon at his home. His vehicle and clothing were found Thursday night near the Loch Lomond Marina in San Rafael, according to the Marin County Sheriff's Office. The sheriff's helicopter, boat and search and rescue team searched the area.
The circumstances surrounding Kaplan's death remain under investigation. Anyone who may have seen him before he went missing was asked to call the sheriff's office's investigation division at 415-499-7265.
