Alleged Child Abuser Arrested In San Rafael
BREAKING: The female victim reported that her stepfather sexually abused her for more than three years.

SAN RAFAEL, CA – San Rafael police have arrested a man accused of sexually abusing his stepdaughter for more than three years.
The victim, whose name is being withheld, contacted the San Rafael Police Department July 12 to report the years-long abuse.
Police detectives conducted several interviews of the victim and other family members to determine the facts and extent of the reported abuse, authorities said. A detailed forensic interview was also conducted with the collaboration of the Marin County District Attorney’s Office and assistance from Marin County Child and Family Services.

The female victim said that the abuse started when she was approximately 10 years old and only stopped when she reported the latest assault the day she called San Rafael police. Friends encouraged her to call the police, officials said.
The victim and other children were removed from the home. On July 13, police arrested Adrian Peraza Caamal, a 31-year-old resident of San Rafael, at his work. He was booked into jail on suspicion of sodomy with a person under 16, aggregated sexual assault of child, continuous sexual abuse of child, sexual intercourse with a child 10 or under, sexual penetration with a foreign object, and unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor.
