SAN RAFAEL, CA — A student who died Thursday after a rolling fence fell on him at a private school playground in San Rafael was a 7-year-old boy from Greenbrae, according to the Marin County coroner's office.
Due to his age, the boy's name was not released, the coroner's office said late Friday.

The chain-link fence, which contains a gate and must be moved manually, somehow came out of its track and fell on the boy, authorities said. He was unconscious and unresponsive, and paramedics tried to resuscitate him.
The boy was taken to a hospital, but he died there, officials said.
