Brothers Arrested After Undercover Drug Deal In Marin, Deputies Say

Investigators said they seized about 300 ecstasy pills and a loaded handgun during the operation.

MARIN COUNTY, CA — A suspected drug deal in Southern Marin ended with two brothers under arrest and investigators finding about 300 ecstasy pills and a loaded handgun hidden beneath an empty child’s car seat, deputies said.

Julian Angulo, 19, and Ernesto Angulo, 29, were booked on multiple narcotics- and weapons-related charges.

Investigators said Julian Angulo sold suspected LSD and ketamine to an undercover detective several times during the investigation. He also worked with the detective to arrange the sale of a large quantity of ecstasy pills, police said.

On Sept. 24, Angulo agreeda to meet the undercover detective in Southern Marin to complete the sale, according to deputies. Investigators arrested him when he arrived at the meeting location.

Ernesto Angulo, who deputies said drove the brothers to the location, was also arrested.

During a search of the vehicle, investigators seized about 300 ecstasy pills and a loaded .45-caliber Kimber handgun, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Investigators said the handgun was found beneath an empty child’s car seat.

The case remains under investigation.
