Empowering Movement, Independence, and Inclusion for All

BOOST School, a non-public school serving children and adults with Cerebral Palsy and other motor disabilities, is thrilled to announce the launch of its Monthly Frame Running Club—a groundbreaking adaptive sports opportunity designed to promote mobility, confidence, and inclusion for individuals of all abilities.

Frame running, a fast-growing Paralympic sport, uses a specialized three-wheeled frame equipped with chest support and handlebars to help individuals with limited mobility run, move freely, and experience the joy of speed on their own terms. “Frame running gives our students and community members agency over their own movement,” said Saskia Kramer Wong, Director of BOOST School and Certified Frame Running Coach. “It’s not just about physical activity—it’s about freedom, confidence, and inclusion.”

Open to participants of all ages and experience levels, the BOOST Frame Running Club invites anyone interested in adaptive sports to come out, try frame running, and experience the exhilaration of moving under their own power. Also known as RaceRunning, this unique sport provides a liberating way for people with mobility challenges to build strength, endurance, and community.

BOOST student Tensley was among the first to experience the Frame Runner at BOOST. “Frame Running has been such a fun and empowering experience for Tensley,” said her mother, Amanda Buhrer. “It’s given her the opportunity to learn a new skill that builds strength and confidence while helping her connect and engage more with her peers.”
