Do your kids have any summer plans? Firecracker Math has you covered! Our Summer Math Camp is for curious and challenge-loving children and teenagers ages 6 to 16.
Firecracker Math Camp offers half-days (math only) (9:00 am–12:30 pm) or full days (9:00 am–4:00 pm), with before- and after-care available.
In the morning, campers participate in exciting Firecracker Math lessons covering number theory, geometry, algebra, combinatorics, graphs, probability, and more. This isn’t your typical math lesson. In our small, individualized classes, highly qualified instructors with degrees in math and science teach math through a combination of theoretical instruction, games, magic tricks, and interactive activities. Students focus on solving problems and developing logical thinking skills. Our mission is to spark joy, deepen knowledge, and develop each student’s aptitude for math.
During morning breaks, campers head outside to stretch and play, because camp is about more than math. After lunch, full-day students join a range of fun, hands-on afternoon activities. Last year, these included chess, art, science, and games. Visit Firecrackermath.org for more information.

Come enjoy great music and a message of hope as we explore favorite Broadway musicals and deeper spiritual themes in our annual “God on Broadway” series.&nbsp; Shows in this year’s series are: "The Lion King” (August 2), “Man of La Mancha” (August 9), “The Music Man” (August 16), and “Maybe Happy Ending” (August 23). Our pianist/composer John Steiner and guest musicians will perform songs from each production.
Rev. Cynthia Cochran-Carney will explore meaningful and humorous connections between Broadway shows and biblical stories, saying “The arts inform all aspects of our lives, including our spiritual lives. Many of the musicals look at challenging social issues, including racism, poverty, exploitation, and diversity. In this time of polarization and division, the arts can open us up to see joys and challenges from someone else’s perspective.”
Sing, laugh and learn valuable life lessons with us in the sanctuary on Sundays in August at 9:30 am at First Presbyterian Church of San Rafael, 1510 Fifth Avenue.&nbsp; The building is handicap accessible. The services are livestreamed on YouTube.

Elementary-aged (grades 1-5)&nbsp;students are invited to enroll in Trinity's&nbsp;Summer Bible Camp:&nbsp;True North (333 Woodland Avenue, San Rafael). Each day (Monday to Friday), we will encounter stories, crafts, games, and snacks that will help us trust Jesus, know that he loves us, and feel that he is always with us!&nbsp;Our morning program is from 9 am to 12 noon. We also provide an "EXTENDED" program until 3 pm each day. <a href="https://trinitysanrafael.org/children/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Registration forms are available to download online</a>.
