Chair Named for Dominican Nursing Department

Anita Hunter has joined Dominican University of California as chair of the nursing department.

Previously, she was director of the master in nursing and international nursing offices at the University of San Diego, where she also was a professor, teaching in the master's and doctoral programs.

Hunter is a fellow of the American Academy of Nursing and has been involved with the national organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculty and the International Nurse Practitioner and Advanced Practice Nursing Network.

Since 1994, Dr. Hunter has researched the construct of resilience in children and young adults. She has authored several articles on this subject.
