Child Sex Abuse Suspect Arrested In San Rafael
Nolberto Angel Maldonado Rodas, 22, of San Rafael, is also allegedly linked to four separate commercial burglaries, police said.

SAN RAFAEL, CA – A man suspected of child abuse was arrested this week after a citizen contacted the San Rafael Police Department.
An employee of a business in the 800 block of Las Gallinas called to report a suspicious person prowling in the area around 11:30 a.m. Monday, according to San Rafael police. The caller said the suspect was checking doors to closed businesses.
During a search of the area, police found Nolberto Angel Maldonado Rodas, 22, of San Rafael, hiding in nearby bushes.

"Officers were aware that Maldonado Rodas was a suspect in a child sexual abuse case as well as a commercial burglary being investigated by San Rafael police detectives," San Rafael police Sgt. Lisa Holton said.
Maldonado Rodas was arrested and taken into custody in connection with the sex abuse case, Holton said. A subsequent investigation linked Maldonado Rodas to four separate commercial burglaries that occurred between December 2017 and early March 2018, according to Holton.

Maldonado Rodas was being held at Marin County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.
