Clipper Now Available on Marin Transit's Shuttles & West Marin Stagecoach

The following is a news release from Marin Transit:

On August 18, 2014, Marin Transit will officially launch Clipper on its Community Shuttle and West Marin Stagecoach services. Clipper is a stored value, fare‐ payment card that is accepted on most public transit services in the San Francisco Bay Area. With this launch, Clipper will be accepted throughout Marin County on all Marin Transit and Golden Gate Transit and Ferry services.

Marin Transit customers can purchase Clipper® cards at the San Rafael Transit Center Monday– Friday from 7 am–6 pm and at select retail locations including Walgreens, Whole Foods Markets, and Quezada Market in San Rafael’s Canal neighborhood. These locations will also allow customers to load and reload cash value onto the card as needed. Adult Clipper cards are also available for order online at clippercard.com. In addition to the convenience of using an integrated fare payment system, riders will enjoy a 10% discount off the Marin Transit and Golden Gate Transit local cash fare.

Clipper cards discounts for youth and seniors are also available by mail, email or fax with applications available in English, Spanish, and Chinese. Customers can download applications from the Clipper website at clippercard.com/discounts. Applications must be accompanied by proof of age. Customers who need to get a card right away can apply in person at a Clipper Customer Service Center or the San Rafael Transit Center.
