Controlled Burn Conducted Friday In Marin County
See or smell smoke? Firefighters are conducting a controlled burn in Marinwood.

MARIN COUNTY, CA – Firefighters are conducting a controlled burn Friday in the Marinwood area of Marin County.
The planned burn, which will help reduce the amount of brush piles in the area, will take place on the west side of Marinwood, off Queenstone Fire Road. Marin County Fire Department's Tamalpais Fire Crew plans to ignite the blaze at 10 a.m. and the team expects to complete the burn by 4 p.m.
Fire officials said the purpose of the prescribed burn is to reduce brush that could become hazardous fuel for wildfires. The work will take place rain or shine.
