County Shares Key Dates for Greenbrae’s May 2 Special Election
Increase of a special tax to be considered on vote-by-mail ballot.

SAN RAFAEL, CA – Voters in Marin County Service Area #16 (Greenbrae) soon will receive a mailed information guide for a special vote-by-mail election related to landscape median expenses.
In an election that concludes May 2, registered Greenbrae residents will vote on Measure A to determine if the special tax for maintenance and improvements to landscaped medians should be increased. A mailed postage-paid envelope will include a ballot, and voters must remember to sign the envelope before mailing it back. It must be postmarked on or before Election Day,May 2.

- March 23: Voter information guides will be mailed to all registered voters in the service area.
- April 3: Vote-by-mail ballots will be mailed to all registered voters in the district. This is also the first day to vote in the Elections Department between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.in Suite 121 at the Civic Center, 3501 Civic Center Drive, San Rafael.
- April 18: Starting on this day and until 8 p.m. on Election Day, eligible voters who are not registered may come to the Elections Department to register and vote.
- April 25: The last day the Elections Department can mail a vote-by-mail ballot. After this day, voters intending to vote must get a ballot in person at the Elections Department.
- May 2: There are no polling places for this election. Ballot return envelopes must be signed and postmarked on or before this day, or dropped at the Elections Department by 8 p.m. Voting is available in the Elections Department from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Election Day.
