BAY AREA, CA – Dry air and dangerous heat are forecast for this weekend, raising the risk for wildfires, officials with the National Weather Service said.
A drying and warming trend will begin Friday, especially in interior areas of the San Francisco Bay Area.
Weather officials said temperatures in the interior are expected to rise to the 90s and 100s Friday and Saturday. Coastal temperatures will be lower.
A combination of factors will make fire conditions critical Saturday night. Temperatures are expected to dip Sunday and widespread cooling is expected Monday.
