Driver Who Died At Mt. Tam Identified
The 55-year-old's vehicle went off a cliff on West Ridgecrest Boulevard, officials said.
MARIN COUNTY, CA –The Marin County Sheriff's Office has identified a driver who died in Mount Tamalpais State Park Saturday as Brad De La Garza, 55, of San Rafael.
De La Garza's vehicle drove off West Ridgecrest Boulevard and 500 feet down a cliff, according to Sgt. Alexis Jones, supervising ranger at the park. A witness saw the car go over the cliff around 10:10 a.m., Jones said.
The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office's helicopter brought him to the roadway, where he was pronounced dead. De La Garza was the only one in the vehicle.

California Highway Patrol Officer Andrew Barclay said De La Garza was driving a 1998 Toyota Camry.
The CHP is investigating the crash and the Marin County coroner's office is investigating the cause of death, Barclay said.
