This class will consist of music of games, nursery rhymes and songs from around the world, circle dances and locomotor activities, instrument playing and stories. We will work with xylophones and percussion instruments to experiment with their sounds and work fine motor control and taking turns. The use of books and props such as scarves, bubbles and puppets will also support our activities. Activities will be adapted to fit each child's abilities and are designed to encourage the development of social, cognitive, physical and language skills. No class on July 4. Instructor: Music Teacher Amanda Hahn is a new mom and has been a music teacher for 15 years. She currently teaches music to 2 years old through 8th graders at the Montessori de Terra Linda and the Nicasio school as well as community-based classes for babies and toddlers. She has a Masters degree in Music and an Orff Schulwerk music teacher certification. Amanda's priority in teaching is to have all her students engaged, having fun, and gaining something valuable from the experience.
