Year Round Vegetable Gardening in Marin

Bay Area vegetable gardens can be year round food producers with a little planning and preparation. The April-September planting and harvesting season can easily be extended to include Marin’s colder months. Marin Master Gardener, Joe Jennings’ talk is based on Pam Peirce’s “Golden Gate Gardening” book and augmented with Marin Master Gardeners insights on composting, seed selection and propagation, frost defense, and reduced sunlight and heat.  Any vegetable garden can go year-round.
