Fire Sparks At Auto Body Shop In San Rafael
Irwin Street at Lincoln Avenue and Du Bois Street were closed due to the fire, officials said.

SAN RAFAEL, CA – A fire was quickly extinguished Monday afternoon at an auto body shop in San Rafael.
The blaze broke out around 2:40 p.m. at Precision Body Shop and Detail on Irwin Street. Crews were on scene within minutes and quickly extinguished the flames, San Rafael Fire Chief Christopher Gray said.
Damage to the shop was minimal, and no one was injured in the incident, Gray said. He praised the business for quickly contacting 911 and evacuating employees.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Fire officials do not yet have an estimate of the damage.
