SAN RAFAEL, CA – San Rafael police have arrested a food truck driver for a hit-and-run involving a pedestrian Sunday evening, a police sergeant said.

Witnesses said a large taco truck struck the man and fled. The female owner of the Richmond business that owns at least two taco trucks notified San Rafael police, Leon said.

Reyes was identified as the driver and he tried to avoid arrest by crawling out of a bedroom window at his residence Wednesday. He admitted striking the pedestrian and said he fled because he was afraid of being
arrested, according to Leon.
