Former Marin Home of Metallica's Hetfield Hits the Market for $3.4M

Gated 4-bed, 3-bath, 3-half bath house that rocker sold in 2003 sits on five acres in Novato and features a timber outdoor kitchen and saltwater pool.

While Metallica frontman and guitar god James Hetfield's Lucas Valley home was the subject of all sorts of controversy in the late 2000s, the home he and his family occupied prior to that – off Vineyard Road in western Novato – is generating lots of buzz in the real estate world this week.

Hetfield sold the home to the current owners in 2003. It's a 4-bed, 3-bath, 3-half bath house that sits on five acres and features a timber outdoor kitchen and saltwater pool.
