Lincoln Avenue Reopens After Gas Leak In San Rafael

Lincoln Avenue was closed between Maple and Pacheco streets just west of Highway 101, according to San Rafael police.

SAN RAFAEL, CA – PG&E crews are repairing a natural gas leak at a construction site in San Rafael on Monday.

The gas line break closed Lincoln Avenue between Maple and Pacheco streets just west of U.S. Highway 101 Monday morning, San Rafael police said.

PG&E spokeswoman Deanna Contreras said a third-party construction crew ruptured a 1-inch plastic gas line in the 1300 block of Lincoln Avenue around 11:54 a.m. PG&E crews stopped the gas flow at 12:24 p.m. Lincoln Avenue has since reopened, police said.
