High School Stabbing Suspect Arrested
Terra Linda High incident said to be gang related.
San Rafael Police said a 17-year-old Terra Linda High School student was arrested on suspicion of stabbing a rival gang member on Tuesday afternoon.
The arrest followed an investigation after police were called to respond to a fight on Nova Albion Way across from Vallecito Elementary School at about 3:45 p.m. Tuesday.
No one was found at the site but witnesses said six to eight gang members had been in a fight that broke up, said Det. Scott Eberle. He said accounts differed, but it appears the victim and suspect began fighting again and a suspected Norteno gang member who attends an alternative high school was stabbed in the abdomen.
