Pilot Episode Highlights Marin County Historic Sites
SAN FRANCISCO, CA - The pilot episode of a proposed television series featuring the people, places and events that shaped California history is a finalist for a pair of video production awards. Marin County resident George Thelen of Thelen Creative, created & developed the History Trekker series and produced the half-hour pilot episode titled, History Trekker : Northern California Edition. The episode is a finalist for the 2014 CreaTiVe ‘Citizen Journalist’ and ‘Educator’ Awards given by CreaTV of San Jose, California. Thelen is a freelance content producer and received the 2013 ‘Citizen Journalist’ Award for his production of the documentary, The San Agustín : California Shipwreck, which aired on PBS earlier this year. Winners will be announced on January 10, 2015 at the CreaTV Awards Gala presented by TiVo at the historic California Theatre in downtown San Jose.
