LARKSPUR, CA — An iconic Marin County movie theater is preparing for renovations after receiving $1 million in donations, The Marin Independent Journal reports.

The Lark Theater at 549 Magnolia Ave. plans include renovating the lobby and bringing upgrades to seating, carpeting, lighting and air conditioning, the report said.

The 81-year-old movie theater is listed on National Registry of Historic Places according to the report.
