Kayakers Rescued On Tomales Bay In Marin County

The kayakers had camped at Point Reyes the night before, according to county officials. The three kayakers rescued Sunday were uninjured.

MARIN COUNTY, CA – Three kayakers were rescued Sunday morning in high winds and surf on
Tomales Bay off the coast of Marin County, county officials said.

The Marin County Fire Department received a call at 11:41 a.m. of the distressed kayakers who were trying to get from Point Reyes to the west side of Nick's Cove & Cottages in the unincorporated community of Marshall.

The kayakers had camped at Point Reyes the night before, according to county officials.

Firefighters launched a water rescue team and an air rescue team.

A helicopter from Sonoma County provided additional support.
