'Keeping the House After Divorce': Now Airing in Marin

Three experts share wit and wisdom about keeping the house after divorce, in the latest episode of Women On Money (TM) TV, on local station channel 26, Marin. Host and moderator Kathleen Nemetz, MBA, CFP, interviews guests Charlotte Huggins, family law attorney, and Ron Moss, CPA, Tax Principal, Ekhoff & Company.

The host and her guests discuss tax savings to protect in the sale of a home, as well as in the transfer or property tax basis. The speakers also delve into the cash flow analysis that will allow viewers to determine the relative affordability and the tradeoffs necessary to keeping the family home. Many couples seeking a marital settlement find it difficult to split assets around the home, since in California homes usually represent the largest asset on a personal balance sheet.
