Marin Advocates for Children’s mission is to stop and prevent child abuse in Marin County. We do this through our two programs: The Marin Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) Program, and the Marin Child Abuse Prevention Council (CAPC). The Marin CASA Program recruits, screens, trains and supervises adult community volunteers to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children, ages 0-18, who are dependents of the Marin County Juvenile Court, helping to ensure that they have a chance to live in a safe and permanent home. Marin CAPC works to prevent child abuse through community education and training with the goal to expand awareness and create a safety net for children who might not otherwise be noticed and would continue to suffer in silence. CAPC also advocates for policy, resources and services that help support families.
