Man Fatally Shot In San Rafael Park: Police
A young man was shot and killed in San Rafael's Pickleweed Park Monday night, police said.

SAN RAFAEL, CA – A young man was shot and killed in San Rafael's Pickleweed Park Monday night, police said.
The San Rafael Police Department received reports of a possible shooting at the park on Canal Street around 6 p.m., San Rafael police Sgt. Lisa Holton said.
Responding officers found a young man dead of a gunshot wound inside a vehicle, Holton said. The victim's name and age have not yet been released.

Officers told residents in the area to shelter in place for about an hour and a half while they investigated the scene.
Witnesses said they saw a man running from the scene after the shooting, Holton said. She did not say if that man had been identified or arrested Monday night.
