Man Gets 6-Year Prison Term For Vehicular Manslaughter In Marin
Lucas McFadden, 24, of Petaluma, pleaded guilty to gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.

SAN RAFAEL, CA – A Petaluma man was sentenced Monday to six years in prison for the gross vehicular manslaughter of a passenger in his vehicle in Marin County in January.
The prison term is part of a plea agreement between prosecutors and defendant Lucas McFadden, Deputy District Attorney Emily Cordell said.
McFadden, 24, was driving a Honda Prelude at about 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 29 when he drifted to the right on Shoreline Highway in Marshall then crossed the roadway into the path of a Peterbilt dump truck that was towing a small excavator, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The collision killed Ricardo De Santiago, 18, of Marshall.
