Marin Great Plates Provides Free Restaurant Meals To Seniors

Nearly two dozen restaurants are participating in Marin Great Plates, an emergency food assistance program​ that kicked off this week.

MARIN COUNTY, CA — Nearly two dozen local restaurants are participating in Marin Great Plates, an emergency food assistance program that kicked off this week.

Marin Great Plates supports seniors who are sheltering in place, unable to access meals, and ineligible for other nutrition programs. The program, which is free to recipients, is also a way to also supports local restaurants and other food vendors that are struggling due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Marin Great Plates delivers three restaurant meals a day, five days per week, according to the county. The program will run through May 29 with the possibility of extension through June 10.

More are expected to join, but so far, the following restaurants have been approved to participate in the program, according to the county:

  • Bogie's Too
  • Chef Rozanna Catering
  • Domino's Pizza
  • Farmacary Functional Foods
  • Fish
  • Homeward Bound | Fresh Starts
  • Insalata's
  • Iron Springs Pub & Brewery, Inc.
  • Parkside Café
  • Osteria Divino
  • Robert Meyer's Mangia/Nosh Catering Co.
  • Round Table Pizza
  • Rustic Bakery
  • Sausalito Bakery and Cafe
  • Servino Ristorante
  • Side Street Kitchen
  • The Spinnaker
  • Uchiwa Ramen
  • Vin Antico
