Marin Residents, Business Owners Urged To Register Security Cameras
The program aims to help investigators solve crimes. Participation is voluntary.
MARIN COUNTY, CA — The Marin County Sheriff’s Office is urging residents and business owners to participate in the agency’s Security Camera Registration Program.
The program aims to help identify the locations of nearby video cameras and enlist the community to collect video evidence that the Sheriff’s Office said can help investigators solve crimes.
“Video surveillance is one of the best methods for apprehending criminals and convicting suspects who are caught in the act of committing a crime,” the agency said in a statement.
