Marin Surveys Residents On County's Performance

The 2018 Resident Survey includes questions about the general quality of life, local policies, a rating of government services, and more.

MARIN COUNTY, CA – Marin residents have an opportunity to let county government employees know how they are doing on the job.

The 2018 Resident Survey includes questions about the general quality of life, local policies, demographics, a rating of government services and how residents' needs are being met.

Residents also can offer perspectives about the current areas of focus of the Board of Supervisors. An open-ended question allows residents to share the top issue they believe the county should focus on over the next two years.

The survey results will be available in the spring of 2019 on the county's website. The Board of Supervisors will also discuss the results during a public workshop. The results will provide data that allows the county to learn more next year through focus groups and listening sessions.

The survey, which takes about 15 minutes to complete, is available at www.bit.ly/countyofmarin. It is expected to be open through Jan. 31, 2019.

The survey is available in English, Spanish and Vietnamese. Answers will be anonymous.

The county also mailed 3,200 printed surveys to randomly selected residents in mid-November.

The scientific survey is expected to have less than a 5 percent margin of error. Residents who received one of the original mail surveys are encouraged to complete those instead of the newly opened online survey.
