Marin Unemployment Rate Among Lowest In Bay Area
Unemployment rates were below 5 percent in all nine San Francisco Bay Area counties in December, according to California's EDD.

MARIN COUNTY, CA – The unemployment rate in Marin County is among the lowest in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Unemployment rates were below 5 percent in all nine San Francisco Bay Area counties in December, according to California's Employment Development Department.
San Mateo County had the lowest unemployment rate at 2.1 percent, followed by Marin County at 2.3 percent and San Francisco at 2.4 percent.

Solano County had the highest unemployment rate at 4.1 percent.
Unemployment was below 3 percent in Santa Clara and Sonoma counties. Alameda, Contra Costa and Napa counties reported unemployment at 3, 3.1 and 3.6 percent, respectively.

In California, the unemployment rate was 4.3 percent, compared with 4.1 percent nationwide.
