Marin Unemployment Rate Remains Among Lowest In Bay Area

In June, the unemployment rate was 4 percent nationwide.

MARIN COUNTY, CA – The unemployment rate in Marin County remained among the lowest in the San Francisco Bay Area last month.

Unemployment rates were below 5 percent in all nine Bay Area counties in June, according to the California Employment Development Department.

San Mateo County had the lowest unemployment rate at 2.5 percent, followed by San Francisco at 2.6 percent and Marin County at 2.7 percent.

Solano County had the highest unemployment rate at 4.2 percent, which matched the statewide rate, a record low.

Santa Clara County's unemployment rate was 2.9 percent. Alameda, Contra Costa, Napa and Sonoma counties all had rates of 3 to 3.5 percent.
